Tahitian Dance – Tane & Vahine, a workshop with three Tahiti Fête judges, Tumata Robinson, Benoit Fa’atau and Moena Maiotui. Tumata and her assistants will teach two aparimas – “Ua Nehenehe” and “Ua Here Hoi Au La Oe.” Music and words will be given to each participant.
Benoit especially encourages male dancers to participate!
Wear a pareo. Beginning and experienced dancers welcomed. $55 ($65 at the door). You can sign up until the day of the workshop at the Hospitality Booth at the lobby of the San Jose DoubleTree Hotel. No video-taping allowed but you can bring a battery-operated CD or tape recorder.

house drummers, Lloyd Chandler and Jay Medeiros. To'ere, fa'atete
and pahu will be highlighted. Bring your own instrument. Beginning
and experienced drummers welcomed. $55 ($65 at the door). You
