Friday, July 2nd -- 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Vahine Tahitian Dance, a workshop with our
illustrious judge, Roiti Tahauri Sylva
Roiti and her assistant, Moeata Tehani, will teach
two aparimas – “Miri” and “Mahina Teahora.” Music and words will be given to each participant at registration. Wear a pareo.
You can sign up until the day of the workshop at the Hospitality Booth. No video-taping allowed but you can bring a battery-operated CD or tape recorder.
Friday, July 2nd from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and
Saturday, July 3rd from 7:30 – 10:30 pm
Tahitian Drumming, a workshop with house
drummers, Lloyd Chandler and Jay Medeiros.
To'ere, fa'atete and pahu will be highlighted.
Bring your own instrument. Beginning and
experienced drummers welcomed. $55 ($65 at
the door).

Saturday, July 3rd -- 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Vahine & Tane Tahitian Dance, a workshop with our guest judges, Lorenzo Schmidt and Teiki Villant from the popular Tahitian group, “Les Grands Ballets des Tahiti.”
Just back from touring and presenting in Tokyo, Japan, Lorenzo & Teiki will introduce an Aparima to their original song, “A Mahora” as well as one of their ‘Ote’a Tautai from their popular CD. Music and words will be given to each participant at registration. Wear a pareo.
Intermediate and experienced dancers welcomed. $80 ($100 at the door). You can sign up until the day of the workshop at the Hospitality Booth at the lobby. No video-taping allowed but you can bring a battery-operated CD or tape recorder.
